Biography

Maria-Yassin鈥檚聽professional聽experience聽over聽the聽past聽16聽years聽has聽been focussed聽on聽the聽intersection聽between聽sustainable聽finance,聽the energy /聽commodities sector and sustainable development. She has held a range of聽strategically focused in-house commercial roles as well as consulting positions and has聽in-depth knowledge of the energy and commodities industry (particularly natural gas, metals / minerals, agriculture)聽and聽its聽financing聽needs聽at聽various聽points聽along聽global聽value chains.

As Transition Finance Lead at SLR, Maria-Yassin is working with investors from across the private and public capital markets, as well as development finance institutions, to finance transition enabling technologies, including their supply chains or robust de-carbonisation plans.

As such, Maria-Yassin is supporting organisations on both sides of investment聽transactions;聽helping聽investees聽to develop and聽effectively聽embed聽transition and associated ESG strategies to meet investor,聽regulatory, market and community expectations as well as investors with聽integrated due diligence activities; covering commercial, technical and ESG considerations.
